Escape

Tonight was one of those nights when Kevin came home from work and I was ready to implode with the frustrations of the afternoon. He took one look at me and said, "I think you need to go to Starbucks." So he strapped the baby on his back and began to mow the lawn while I grabbed the keys and headed for some caffeine and some solace.

Before I left, I was talking to Kevin and used the word "freaking" as an adjective to accentuate my frustration. I use that word from time to time, even though I try not to use it in front of the kids. I also try not to use the word "crap" in front of the kids but I often fail. Sometimes that word is the only word that adequately and succinctly gets the intended meaning across. I'm not perfect and I've never claimed to be.

There are some people who are so sweet and so pure that I can never even imagine them using the word "crap." I really cannot completely relate to those people.

I think I'll finish off my iced coffee and read some other people's blogs. Oh yes, I also need to put a reminder on my calendar to watch the royal wedding. I told Meredith I would let her watch it with me. I love having daughters.

I love you. I'm glad you were able to escape for a minute. Oh, and I wish I could watch the royal wedding with you too!!! We could have a party! :)
Miss you.

I SO understand about feeling frustrated. We've been trying to sell our house, and eventually took it off the market because I couldn't take it any more (screaming at the kids who would draw on the wall while I was trying to clean the house with potential buyers coming in a hour, etc.) Not to go "dispensing" parenting advice, but I've found a wonderful mentor through the website "raisinggodlytomatoes.com."It has made a huge difference, and I want to tell every young mom I know about it--I'd like to buy a billboard! (And of course, there's nothing like a caffiene boost from Starbucks, too!)

I am so glad to know I'm not the only one who slips up with words like freaking and crap. :) {HUGS}
