What seems like many years ago a friend told me about the book, He’s Just Not that Into You. We talked about the premise of it but I didn’t read it at the time. When I heard that it was made into a major motion picture I decided to order a copy through the library. I mean, seriously, how many self-help books are actually made into movies? Although I can’t relate to many of the dating scenarios described, I can relate to the essence of the message because I’ve seen so many women make the mistakes described in the book. And I know from personal experience that when a man really likes you, he pursues you and there is no doubt about it.
Women tend to take the mixed messages that men send them and overanalyze them, convincing themselves that there are numerous complicated reasons why a guy is not asking them out. No one likes to admit that maybe the answer is simple—he’s just not that into you and you need to move on with your life.
It’s a hard truth but one that would save so much heartache and time. I’m glad I picked up this book and finally read it. Now I just need to watch the movie, right?

I have not read the book but heard it was good. I however saw the movie and it was "ok". Just my opinion
Ehh ... I think you can pass on the movie. I was all excited about it (such great people in it!) but ... yah .. I was disappointed and came away VERY frustrated with the story line, with human nature, with sin, with the lack of godliness in our culture ... just very frustrated.
I didn't know there was a book! I had wnated to see the movie -- now I see Megan's comment. Hmmm..... Thanks for posting all the book reviews!
I read that book and found it very freeing...
I agree with Megan on the movie. The book is definitely better. I couldn't wait to see the movie and came away disappointed and frustrated with the reality of our culture and immorality (they need to get rid of Scarlett Johannson). Saying that, I have to add there were some really sweet parts of the movie (go figure that it would be with Jennifer Aniston and Ben Afflick :^/). So in parts it is worth seeing, but the book is so much better by leaps and bounds.
