All in all, a very awesome way to kick off Memorial Day weekend! Kevin was dreading navigating the crowds with two kids but even HE will admit that it was fun.

500 Parade
This is the first time I went to the Indy 500 Parade and it was so much fun! (Seriously, I think I had more fun than the kids!) It was very impressive. All the racers were there and there were lots of marching bands, big balloon-things (I don't know what you call them but the kids loved it), really great floats, mounted riders, clowns, and lots of celebrities (people from Miss America to Meredith and Jan from The Office to Thomas Kincaid).

Yes, it was SO fun! I just can't believe I have never attended all the years I lived in Indy.
