So ... I've started a new journal.

I’ve started a new journal. Here is one of the first entries, which I wrote nearly two weeks ago. I’ve been too tired, busy, and sick to my stomach ever since to post it on my blog!!

July 2, 2009—The first thing my doctor said today was, “Do you want to do an ultrasound?” Absolutely! So, I got to get my first peek at you! It was so fun to see your little body moving around. Although I must confess, right now you look like a glorified kidney bean. Your head and body are distinct. You have leg and arm “buds,” which are like long stumps. Your fingers and toes will all be developing in the next week. But despite your short appendages, you were moving around a lot and the ultrasound tech said that even now you are building up muscle mass. All of your organs are present. We could see your strong heart fluttering on the screen. Everything looks healthy. One really cool thing was that I was able to see a 4D ultrasound of you, so I could see all of your dimensions. This was my first time to have a 4D ultrasound. It was pretty amazing! I’m already in love with you. I want you. You are my baby.

Every night at around 5:30, all I want to do is eat a bowl of Cheerios and crawl into bed. Hopefully there is only two more weeks of this, though. Each pregnancy has gotten worse as far as sickness goes. The more tired my body is, the sicker I feel. We’re due around the first of February. We are very excited but I must confess that right now three kids seems like a lot. I told Kevin, “Wow, three kids.” He said, “Yeah, that sounds so very … Responsible.”

Darren and I were on the phone when your blog popped up on his reader. I'd checked the reader not three minutes before, so when he asked, "Um... did we know this?" I said, "Where in the world did you hear about it?!" So we both got on and read your post. Which looks a little, um, geeky written out. But at least you know we're both excited for y'all. :)

Hurrah!! Congratulations! This is wonderful news. Don't worry about a thing...after the morning sickness wears off, three children will be a breeze. I do recommend having a girl, though. =)

YAY! I can't wait to see what Baby Koons' cousin looks like in two weeks when I get my ultrasound. :) I am inspired to start the baby journal now too! ;)

Congratulations! With my first still about three weeks from being born, I can't imagine at all what having three is like. But I know that my two younger sisters and I had a lot of fun growing up together. Prayers for health and many fun years ahead!

Congratulations on joining the ranks of those outnumbered by their children. We're going there with you.
My morning sickness was better with no. 2. I hope you feel better soon.

What wonderful news! I agree with Kevin that 3 little ones makes parents "responsible."

Congratulations!! Three is actually not bad at all! We're expecting #4 in early Feb so you have all my sympathy with the exhaustion/sickness stuff. Oh, for August to get here! ;-)

The "Stephen" commenter was me...not sure why it displayed like that. Also, "happy birthday" to Meredith and soon to Clara!
