VERY Important Question for You

Can you guys please help me and Kevin settle an ongoing debate? Thank you.

Since Meredith has started to notice that she has feet on the end of her legs, we’ve been helping to cultivate her fascination by reciting “This Little Piggy” to her.

Kevin says that the middle toe piggy had “roast beef.” I say this is WRONG. The middle toe piggy actually had “corn and bread.” That’s how I learned it as a child and that’s how it must be.

World War III is likely to break out if we cannot solve this crisis.

It is so very difficult raising a child when the parents each have different views on important things like religion, politics, or how to accurately recite "This Little Piggy."

  1. Hi Amy.

I thought it was roast beef. But I have heard all kinds of things from sauerkraut, french fries, and milkshakes. The important part was that the next little piggy had none.

    Hope that helps.

  3. I always thought it a bit odd that a piggy was eating beef, so I changed it to "This little piggy had vegetables and thiiiiis little piggy had none." Less cannibalistic sounding. ;-)

  6. In your defense, I have heard both. But since Kevin will say, "Ah, but she's a vegetarian," I will admit that it was my vegetarian Opa who recited it most to me. -rlr

  12. Well, I have to agree with Kevin on this one. Both Drew and I grew up saying roast beef (and I learned it from my dad who grew up and orthodox hindu).

  14. Roast beef it is....

Corn and bread? That's kind of funny.....I would expect that from people who lived in the south, but from California???

P.S. Kevin, all of us "roast beef" supporters would appreciate your expediting that $20 gift certificate to Borders that you offered us to support your side. ;)

    Hi Amy,

It's always been roast beef for us. However, now that I think about it, roast beef is a really strange thing for a pig to be eating.....

  18. I just spoke with Amy on the phone (as she is still without internet access right now), and she graciously conceded the point.

We ordered a laptop over the weekend. Hopefully that will arrive soon so she can be back online.

  21. Not that it really matters since Amy already conceded, but yep, the third piggie ate roast beef.
